Various dives around these islands include the Breakfast Bend (so called because it is often the first dive one does on arrival, usually after breakfast), East of Eden, Turtle Reef and Sharkfin Reef (all self-explanatory although there are copious amounts of other fish and underwater plant life to be seen too!).

It is always wise to check the diving in the area of Thailand which you are planning to visit. Some are obviously better than others, but it stands to reason that those spots that are heavily populated by tourists will be less spectacular. For example, Pattaya advertises itself as a great place for families to learn, as the seas on the East coast are relatively unaffected by the sudden weather that can sometimes fall in on the West coast during the rainy season. While this may be true, there might not be the awe-inspiring diving of other locations such as the Similan Islands. However, if you want diving to be a part of your holiday, rather than the reason for your holiday, then this may not matter as much.

Located just 200 meters south of Tesco Lotus in South Pattaya, the new theme park covers a total area of 12-rai and is housed in a structure similar to a large circus tent.

The aquarium itself houses more than 4,000 marine animals, comprising more than 200 different species from the region as well as some rare creatures from overseas. Top in the Visitors must-see list is the rare shovelnose ray, a hybrid between a shark and a stingray.

The word "Pattaya" was originated long time ago. In 1767, while Phraya Tak was the King rulers of Khampaengpetch province aware that the former capital would be captured by the Burmese Invaders, since the troops fighting against they were getting too weak to fight against the invaders. Due to the fact that Phraya Tak decided to escape from Wat Pichai camp forwarded to southeast and fight against Burmese Invaders that the lasted 4 times. Then the troop forwarded in advance to Chonburi Province. The Khampaengpetch King took his troops taking rest along the Wat Yai Intraram and moved the troops forwarded to Chanthaburi Province. Between the ways of the troops, they rested at Ban Nong Pai which is located in the Pattaya Provincial Police Station (at present), along Sukhumvit Road, Na Klua, Banglamong, Royal chronicle, Royal writings, Book to mentioned that "Nai Klom was gathering his troops to intercept.
After the Phraya Tak rode his elephant holding with gun trigger to swap with his private surrounded over the troops of Nai Klom. This was awed by dignified manner and surrendered without a fight. Then the troops rested at the Nongnam.

The next day, fall on Tuesday, 6th day of the waning moon, second lunar noon, Nai Klom brought his one thousand troops to rested in one district for one night The next day the troops approaching Jomtien Beach and Tung Kaitiya, Sattahip and stay overnight each place. 1. Happy - The Best of my favorite go go bar. There are beautiful girls, friendly staff, good set up- one main stage and seats all around it and one off stage to the left when you enter. This place is always busy, so if you can, get there early.
This place probably has the most talent I've seen in a go go bar. Typical go go bar music but are we there for the music? No! I'm there for beautiful women and this place has it. I don't have anything bad to report about this bar because I've always had a great experience there. They have shows (I have no idea how often) girls come out, dance naked- good stuff. One thing I love about this bar, aside from the stunners who dance on the main stage, are the girls in the big white boots, black skirts and little boob tops.

2. Living Dolls LD - Great places, it reminds me a lot of Peppermint, just a lot smaller, but definitely has some talent walking around and other types. Typically, it is a really fun place to hang out. I met a bunch of really fun girls from there. I saw a handful of guys get shot down by the main performers, which honestly, I've never seen in other places. I guess it really can happen. The top performers are some beautiful girls; a little heavy on the tats, but if that's your thing, there's a girl with leg tats that's just ridiculously hot while dancing. I met a main performer who spoke great English, no tats and could move up on the dance floor like no other nice girls and if you expect me to remember her name, you're dreaming

3. Boesche - Beautiful girls everywhere and they have a great show in the Jacuzzi in the back. Girls eating each other as they put the back of their heads into your lap and you drink a brew with a girl eating downtown at the Y below you. Good stuff. Nothing to report here, this place can get very crowded, but seems to be a late night crowd (gets busy after 11pm). Main stage dancers are usually top notch.

4. Peppermint - Peppermint is a great place to start the West Side Crawl. All the girls I've ever met there were a lot of fun, spoken English and were a blast. It does have a mix of everything; some really smoking hot girls, some mediocre, but the place is so big, it really just houses any kind of girl so it doesn't really matter. There is nothing but great times there and some great talent walking around. Find the stunners they are there, but will go quickly at this bar.

5. Windmill - This place brings a tear to me eye back in April 2007, this place seemed to have so much young, amazing talent that my neck was on a swivel and I met a stunner who was a 12 on the looks department my favorite all-time girl. Since then, Windmill has seemed to go downhill, not so many stunners and while they are wearing plaid semi-school girl outfits, it is just not the stunner quality girls you'd expect. So sad because it used to be such an amazing haven and I used to run to it (imagine a foreigner running down Walking Street in slow motion, with a tear coming down his cheek). The show is great, but if the girls aren't hot.

The Past

Pattaya's name was originated from the march of Phraya Tak (later known as King Taksin the Great) and his followers from Ayutthaya to Chanthaburi just before the fall of the Ayutthaya Kingdom to the Burmese invaders in 1767.

When Phraya Tak's army arrived in the vicinity of what is Pattaya today, he encountered the troops of Nai Klom who tried to intercept him. When the two leaders met face to face, Nai Klom was awed by Phraya Tak's dignified manner and his army's strict discipline, thereby surrendering without a fight. The place where the two armies confronted each other was later called Thap Phraya, which means the Army of the Phraya. This was later changed to Phatthaya, which happens to mean the wind blowing from the southwest to the northeast at the beginning of the rainy season. Today the spelling of the name has been simplified to Pattaya.

For centuries, Pattaya was a small fishing village almost cut off from the outside world. But a big change occurred on 29 April 1961 when the first group of about 100 American servicemen who would join the Vietnam War arrived in Pattaya for relaxation. Soon, sleepy Pattaya became Thailand's premier and most successful beach resort, which annually attracts hundreds of thousands of pleasure-seeking visitors. With its large expatriate community and diverse attractions, Pattaya has gained a reputation as one of Thailand's leading international communities. Its other reputation as Bangkok's playground and the capital of the sex industry, it attracts a very specific sort of tourist. No matter what your reasons for visiting, you'll find an exhausting list of attractions, theme parks and entertainment to keep you busy while you're here. In Pattaya gay travellers are also welcome and made to feel comfortable. Thailand is very tolerant of gay activities, Pattaya is no exception.
Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm The Million Years Stone Park and Crocodile Farm is a great place to take in some of the indigenous plant and animal life of Thailand. More than 1,000 crocodiles are kept and bred on the grounds and there are some elephants and rare albino bears. Elephant shows are held every day, as is the crocodile roundup. The grounds also have some beautiful landscaping, most outstanding of which is the bonsai garden. The park can be reached via a 15-minute drive from Pattaya city centre.

Ripley's Believe It or Not This one-of-a-kind museum is located on the third floor of the Royal Garden Plaza building in Pattaya. The facility contains over 300 unusual exhibits exploring the whole gamut of weird and unexplained phenomena. Some of the more popular attractions include the Infinity Maze, an immersive, walk-through sound and light show that tests the limits of perception; and the Haunted Adventure, a resurrection of an old real-life mystery set at the Grimsby and Streaper Casket Company and brought to life with live actors, special effects and animatronics. Despite its emphasis on the odd, Ripley's is Pattaya's most outstanding museum and a definite must-see.

Sriracha Tiger Zoo North of the city of Pattaya, the Sriracha Tiger Zoo can be found off Route 3241 via a 30-minute drive from the city centre. The subjects of this facility can be found in a variety of circumstances including in their natural surroundings as well as more interactive settings. Visitors will have the opportunity to bottle-feed young cubs as well as have their picture taken with them. The zoo is home to several other species including crocodiles, elephants and scorpions. Some of the more outlandish shows include elephants playing basketball and a woman wrestling a crocodile.

This park covers more than 600 acres and hosts a broad spectrum of exhibits dedicated to Thai culture and history. The grounds include a cactus garden, an orchid nursery and a lake with canoes that can be hired. The arts and culture centre hosts daily exhibitions of Thai dance, Muay Thai (Thai boxing) and elephant shows. There's also a zoo on-site and accommodation for overnight stays. Wat Yansangwararam Pattaya is not as well known for its temples and ancient architecture as Bangkok or Chiang Mai. Even so, the Yansangwararam is a temple worth checking out while in the area. It's located a few miles south of Pattaya and was built in 1988 to commemorate the 42nd year of King Bhumibol's reign. On-site is a lake with Chinese pavilions and a building that houses several art exhibits and antiques of Chinese origin. The temple itself sits at the apex of a flight of 299 stairs hemmed in by snakes.

Pattaya Elephant Village Visitors who want to get an up close look at the iconic Thai elephant can do so at the Pattaya Elephant Village. These animals have served the country in a variety of roles over the centuries, spanning war times and more recently, teak harvesting. The elephants in the village are protected and perform daily educational and entertaining feats showcasing their forestry and football skills. Visitors can also ride the elephants into the forest and listen to English language explanations of this beast's history in Thailand.

Pattaya Beach While it may be saturated with visitors and a little polluted, Pattaya's beachfront property continues to be its greatest draw. Visitors come to enjoy the beach in any number of ways, whether it's a walk on the tree-lined promenade; a relaxed seafood dish eaten on an outdoor veranda or simply a laid-back afternoon spent on a deckchair. Charter boats head out to some of the nearby islands where further exploration and snorkelling is available. There's not too much actual swimming in the water, though it's bustling with jet-skis, banana boats and motor boats.

Amusement parks The constant flux of tourists through Pattaya has given way to a variety of amusement parks. Pattaya Water Park is a huge facility with water slides, Jacuzzis, whirlpools and a children's wading pool. Staggering towers at the Pattaya Park Resort and Amusement Park are capped by revolving restaurants with impressive views of the city and sea. The Funny Land Amusement Park has all sorts of carnival and theme-park style rides including a roller coaster and a pendulum Viking ship. Asia's largest aquarium is also located in Pattaya--Underwater World, with an impressive walking tunnel allowing visitors to walk in among the aquatic life.

Nightlife and gay activities Anyone visiting Pattaya will at some point be confronted with the city's notoriety as a part of the sex industry. While it's true that sex tourism is in full force in the go-go bars along Walking street, it's easy to find more family-oriented locations across town where you can get a bite to eat or relax in the evening. There are a couple of Irish pubs, an English pub and a blues bar where tourists can enjoy a relaxed evening without the risqué atmosphere. High Season, High Hopes

By and large the last few months leading up to the start of high season have been indifferent for the real estate professionals in Pattaya. An unsettled government, whiffs of scandal and uncertainties about how the land office will view applications all combined to affect some - not all - areas of the market. So how do real estate agents view the coming of the high season? Do they anticipate and upturn or more of the same? John Davids spoke to half a dozen of them just days after the season got underway...
Perhaps not surprisingly the coming of the high season is being greeted with a mood of optimism among the agents I spoke to. Pessimism in business is no good whatever your line of work. It couldn't be more true of the property business.

But is the optimism well founded and based on sound reasoning?

Based on my chats with the six I believe the answer is yes. But I would qualify that by saying that the picture is looking brighter in some areas than others.

For example, interest in new condo developments remains high. The opportunity for "own name" ownership while the first 49 per cent of the apartments remain on the market is undiminished. Remember, up to 49 per cent of any condominium block can be owned by foreigners without needing to resort to other, more convoluted ownership routes.

"It's difficult in the second-hand resale market at present," said Heiner Moessing of Siam Properties. "I'm finding that buyers are prepared to spend 20 or 30 percent more on new condominium developments to secure an 'own-name' property."

Heiner says he is definitely noticing an increased interest in new properties. "The tendency is toward newer projects even if they are at higher prices," he added.

Heiner continued: "Our website is bringing in a lot of enquiries, but we are well established and known within the market. We see our success as a combination of experience and knowledge of the Pattaya property market, a perceptive understanding of our customers' requirements and above all ... integrity."

"We had a sleepy October but you get a couple of months like that each year. Now things are looking quite nice and I believe interest will go up over the next few months," Heiner concluded.

Heiner's thoughts on the prospects for the high season are shared by Julian Stanley of Pattaya Dream Homes. "I'm absolutely, positively optimistic about the high season," said Julian who can point to the statistics of 'hits' on his web site as the reason for this.

Hits on the site for condo searches were a little under the 2,000 mark on the day I spoke to him. "I would say that about 80 per cent of the enquiries I'm getting, web hits, emails or telephone calls are to do with condos," he said.

"We have many potential foreign buyers arriving here over the next three-four months. I don't know if this is a natural upturn based on the season or not." Julian's company only started in January this year so he has not previously experienced the low to high season transition. "I'm optimistic, but I'm not ordering the Mercedes just yet," he joked.

On a more serious note, what did he think of other areas of the market? "The market in stand-alone houses is stagnant at present. Major developers have stopped pre-building and are just trying to sell from plans which doesn't make our job easy. Much better for us are developments like The Meadows from Town & Country where they have built many of the units. That's the class way to go in my book. People can see what they are buying."

Stuart Daly of Pattaya Realty was also noticing a lot of web-based interest with "serious buyers telling me they are coming over," he said.

"After the year we have had with no stable government and hints of scandal I'm glad we are through that and can look forward with confidence," he added. "Things are looking up and I've been speaking to Bangkok-based agents who are also hopeful."

Any trends emerging? "New developments are hot but I don't see any special trend as such. Condos are doing a bit more for the own-name aspect. But we are still selling houses. I've noticed more buyers putting the property in their Thai partner's name but protecting themselves by taking out 30 year leases and signing agreements that ensure that the house cannot be sold without the agreement of both parties."

When I heard this I winced a little. But, after putting down the phone, I reflected that if that was the only way I could own a house (my preference), as opposed to a condo, how bad would that be? I'm in my 50s and were someone to offer me a guarantee of living another 30 years I would bite their hand off in acceptance. If my current partner could stay with me for 30 years (and previous convictions in the matrimony department make that a big 'if') I reckon she would probably deserve to have the house when I'm gone.

But each to his own and I am not trying to influence prospective buyers by saying the above. The opportunity to buy in my own name would remain my first, second and third choice.

Another agent who reported a shift in attitudes on the 'own-name' front is Einar Olgeirsson of Pattaya General Real Estate. "With houses some buyers are looking at the perpetual lease route," said Einar. "It's like signing a prenuptual. And there are still other options people can be looking at if they want a house."

He added: "We have done all right considering the problems we've had lately. Of course, things would be a lot better if foreigners could buy as they did before. There are still a lot of things that need sorting out, but I'm pretty optimistic.

"People are buying at the cheaper end, such as townhouses. That way the commitment is not high and it allows them to get a foothold in the property market. If they settle to the Thai way of life then they can upgrade later. If not, the property is still affordable for other purchasers, including Thai people. I believe this to be a sensible approach in these uncertain times.

"We have people booked to come here in November, December and January and we're getting a lot of emails, particularly regarding new constructions that have availability within the first 49% own-name category."

When I spoke to Craig Rhodes of Country Properties he, too, was in a positive mood. "I'm okay, feeling pretty good at the moment," he said. "Apartment sales are good and people still want to be here. That's the main thing.

"We started out in land brokerage but have pretty much switched our emphasis to apartments now. With land it's difficult at present. We've sold a couple of plots lately. If someone comes to us wanting to buy land we tell them we can do it but we don't know what the land office will say when they get there. We're not hiding anything and we are strongly recommending that buyers take a third party opinion, from a lawyer, perhaps, before they go too far down the line."

He concluded: "You have to get on with things and make the best of what's going on. I'm encouraged by our apartment sales."

Claus Dieter Meyer of Thaiproperties.biz said: "Low season is low season, like every year. Now we are getting more enquiries and I'm optimistic. I'm sure the high season will see an improvement especially in January and February."

Claus's company is also focussing more on condos. "I think people are looking a little concerned about the restrictive regulations at the land office. So they are looking a little more to condos, especially projects where you can still own in you own name."

He concluded: "If there was to be a change in the law everyone would be happy."

So, as you can see - a recurring theme in most of my conversations is the question of own-name ownership and a possible change in the law. How can this be addressed? Well Pattaya has more bizarre rumours circulating than I care to try to count. Indeed, with the editor's permission, I might regale you with six or seven in a future issue. But for now, I'll concentrate on one - namely the possibility that a Thai government might one day relent and widen the criteria which allows foreigners to own a rai of land for their own housing purposes. At present you need to have received an inheritance or have a seriously large amount of money to invest here - baht 40 million.

This 'one rai' rumour was repeated to me a couple of times during my ring-around and is a sure indication of where agents would like to see things headed. I don't know all the ins and outs of this debate but it seems to me incongruous for Thailand to want outsiders to invest in the country but then make it difficult for all but the very rich to live here.

Of course, a balance must be struck which means that prices will not become prohibitive for Thais themselves. We don't want a situation such as the one that developed on the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. Because the island is a tax haven many monied people want to live there. House prices have rocketed to such an extent that the Manx people themselves cannot afford to buy on their own island.

There does not appear to be a 'magic wand' that can be waved over the ownership question to satisfy all parties ... but a solution needs to be found. And the sooner the better or it maybe it will take more than a change in the season to improve the housing market.

Many folks go to Pattaya, Thailand and celebrate some occasion while they are there. Whether it be an anniversary, birthday, divorce, or nothing in particular, there are plenty of party venues to schedule your special event.
I have been going to Thailand for over 30 years, have made numerous friends there - both Thai and Expat and highly recommend the following venues:

1. The FLB bar - owned by Martin and managed by Ricky down on Walking Street past the big tree - this is a very friendly hostess bar that will cater to your every whim. For about 12,000 Baht, about 300 dollars, you will have the time of your life. Excellent food from the Sportsman bar, great, live entertainment from the Ugly Brothers band and some of the friendliest ladies in Pattaya. Martin also runs an excellent forum at pattayatalk.com.

2. Cherry Bar - on Soi 8 and owned by a very friendly Brit - Adam. Adam has devoted his life to making this bar successful on a street lined wall-to-wall with similar bars. He does an excellent job of promoting his quaint little bar and bends over backwards to make you feel at home. And, you don't even have to be a Brit to have a great time here.

3. Lennies Bar - on Soi Diamond between Walking Street and 2nd Road - Paul, the manager, will ease all of your worries and make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. As Eric Clapton said, this place will "ease you worried mind". Parties can be arranged easily - just see Paul.

4. Tequila Queen #2 - just off of Walking Street and partially owned by Bob of Bob's BBQ - small, air-conditioned go-go bar that guarantees great food and a super time. It may be small, but the fun will be huge.

5. Secrets Bar - Last but not least by any means. Ben used to be the manager at FLB but has moved onward and upwards and has set up his own bar, restaurant and hotel - the Secrets Hotel and Bar. On Soi 14 - just off of Walking Street Ben will ensure that you will have a super time. Ben is the host with the most and I have known him for over 7 years - he will take care of all your needs. Ben also runs a great forum at pattayasecrets.com. The restaurant at Secrets - food you would not believe, caters parties here.

So, if you are heading out to Pattaya, plan a party. It can be for any occasion or just for the heck of it.

You have decided to visit Asia for your next vacation and have decided to go to Pattaya, Thailand. Your flight is booked but you are still looking for a hotel. But, how do you decide which hotel to stay at?
Your decision should be based on what you plan to do while you are Pattaya. Will you be spending most of your time sightseeing, shopping or enjoying the nightlife? Most likely you will be enjoying the nightlife and will want to be located in the heart of it.

There are three main areas in Pattaya - North, South, and Central and all three have their plusses and minuses. Getting a hotel in any of the three will boil down to a personal preference.

North Pattaya is in the Soi 2 area or even a little further North called Naklua. Most of the tourists here are from Europe and the nightlife is adequate but not spectacular. I rarely go to the Naklua area but I do enjoy the Soi 2 nightlife area.

South Pattaya is very good and includes the area around the infamous Walking Street. There are many hotels available from Soi 13 to Walking Street and also along the side streets between 2nd Road and Walking Street. Many are small pubs with a handful of rooms above the bar.

To me, Central Pattaya is where to stay. The location is perfect as I can walk or catch a baht bus to anywhere in a matter of minutes. Beach Road, 2nd Road or even down to Soi Buakhao are perfect locations as long as the hotel is between Central Road and Soi 13.

Most of the hotels in Pattaya are in the 2 - 4 star range with the occasional 5 star (Marriott) but a 2 - 4 star in Pattaya is definitely a cut above similar hotels in the states. I prefer the smaller, pub places that have a handful of rooms upstairs. Most are owned by a couple and really do their best to make your stay a great one.

Do your research, and look for a discount Pattaya hotel, and enjoy your stay in the Land of Smiles. It won't be hard to find your Asian hotel in Pattaya at all.

I visit a lot of Thailand Forums and very often a newbies will ask if he should go to Bangkok or Pattaya or both. He will also want to know how long he should stay at each place - if he goes to both.

As a season traveler to Thailand for over 30 years, I tend to be a bit cynical and advise most to just go straight to Pattaya. But, there are arguments to be made to stop by and visit Bangkok for a few days too.

I have toned down my advice a bit usually tell the newbie to visit Bangkok for 2 to 3 days at the beginning of his trip and then spend the rest of the 2 or 3 weeks in Pattaya. Everyone should see Bangkok at least once.

There is a lot to see in Bangkok if you can ever get to where you want to go. Traffic is usually moving along at a snail's pace and the meter in the taxi keeps ticking away. Walking around is hot and the streets are lined with vendors that block the sidewalk and will try any tactic to get you to stop and buy something from their stall. And, if you are walking around at night, you will have to watch out for the lady-boys and the muggers (as you would in almost any large city).

Once you suffer taxis and heat, there are numerous clubs, bars, and restaurants that would rival the best anywhere in the world. With prices being extremely low (despite the strengthening of the Baht), you can have a great night out on the town for a minimal amount of money.

Throw in inexpensive hotels, excellent shopping, and the friendliest people in the world, and you will have an experience unlike any you have ever had. Then, on your second visit to Thailand, you can just go straight to Pattaya.

For the ultimate beach vacation there is no better location than that of "Jomtien Beach" in Thailand Which is just a two hours ride in a taxi from Bangkok Airport. The Jomtien Beach is located about two kilometers from its busy counterpart resort of South Pattaya. Jomtien beach and the area along its beach road have now become more and more popular for swimming, water sports and activities because it has a long straight coastline and they're being less boats anchored in its waters. A wide range of small and large condominiums is also available for short or long term rental and many good restaurants serving a wide variety of fresh seafood with a full range of Thai cuisine and International dishes. Chairs are available to sit with a table to have food and drink served directly to you as you soak up the sun or simply lay back and listen to the waters lapping on the sand. I call it the Pattaya Beach 'Dawn Freak Show!'

If you've even been to Thailand, specifically Pattaya Beach, you will already know there's an unlimited variety of sights and sounds to experience there. If you enjoy just relaxing and doing some serious 'people watching', then without a doubt, this is the place for you! Let me tell you now, if you can imagine it, you can find it here.

Once I was on a submarine cable laying job in Thailand. Our company was laying a sub sea [that's underwater.. for you folks that really need the basics] fiber optics cable that was to link up most of the Southeast Asian countries with the USA and Europe. Well, it was a hell of a job cause they had me put up in a fairly nice hotel right there on the main strip in Pattaya Beach. Hell of a job and hell of an assignment. LOL. Heck.. my employer didn't know it at the time but even if they would have cut my pay to HALF of what my current day rate was - I wouldn't have left that job for anything.

If any of you readers out there that have had the pleasure to visit Pattaya beach you will fully understand where I'm coming from here. For those of you who have never been to Pattaya beach.. well.. all I can say is there's no shortage of beautiful almond eyed ladies and bars there! I don't even think it's possible to count all the bars there.. every type imaginable that also comes with every type of lady imaginable also.

It's just to hard for me to explain what exactly what Pattaya beach is all about but one thing is for sure - a single male can have a hell-of-a-good time there! There's no denying that at all. If you're an able bodied male.. and you can't get a girl at Pattaya beach.. god have mercy on your soul. That's about all I can say for your sorry ass. LOL

Back to my main topic now.. so.. on this sub sea cable laying job, sometimes I had to catch a boat out to the barge [which was anchored about a few miles offshore there in Pattaya bay]. On those mornings I would have to go down to the little bar on the main strip and wait for the boat to come fetch me. This bar is called the Marine Bar and it's located right on the main strip. Yup.. the Marine Bar was named after the good-ole US Marines! cause during the Vietnam war era days they used to all go to Pattaya beach for some good ole R&R [Rest & Recreation].

I would arrive at the Marine Bar about 5:30 am and wait for my pick-up boat while watching the sun rise. I've always had a favorite pass time of people watching.. and let me tell you.. I had no ideal that people watching at sunrise on Pattaya Beach could bring an entire new meaning to the word! This brought me to an entirely different level! Incredible… I noticed several different types of people there and I classified them into several different crazy groups. Such as…

The All-Nighter's (aka: Vampire Guys)

These guys are very easy to spot cause they usually are the most loud and noticeable of the groups. These guys are the one's who have been up partying all night long and are still going strong at it… maybe it's because of the drugs they took earlier that night.. who knows how they can do it. Oh.. they're good at partying and they do it every night to the maximum. They sleep only around 10 or 11am and then wake up again around 6 or 7pm to do it all over again!

Most of these guys are here in Pattaya on a short vacation and they're here for one reason and one reason only - to PARTY.. and I mean, PARTY HARD! They've been working all year for this short 2 week vacation and they fully intend on packing in at least a years worth of missed partying during their stay here. They only go back to their hotel and pass out when their body is begging for mercy and to get their batteries recharged for a few hours. As soon as they wake up, it's, "What the f**k are we doing sleeping.. LET'S GO PARTY AGAIN!!"

Falang [Foreigner] Drunkards

These are the falang or farang.. [that's 'foreigner' in Thai language] guys who had obviously been out drinking [to much!] and partying all night and didn't even yet realize it's already the next day approaching. They are already so drunk but still insisting to the bar waitress to, 'give me another round'. By now they are so totally wasted and clueless that nothing really mattered to them anymore. The nothing that really mattered anymore includes [but is not limited to] the following; a) The Very Sexy Girl that they had earlier bar fined who was already so tired and pissed-off with this drunkard that all she wanted to do now was to go back to her bar and sleep. Sitting there watching.. I felt sorry for these girls.. what a waste! b) The bar waitress was even fed-up with these kinds of guys already. The next drink she wanted to give this drunkard should have a mickey in it so the guy would just pass out on the bar and be done with it. She'd be doing him a favor.. believe me. c) They're so wasted that they're about to pass-out on the bar.. at which time any Thai thief or rejected Katoey will be able to casually walk over and empty their wallets and pockets for them [well.. at least then they wouldn't have anymore money to pay for anymore drinks so this would force them to go back to their hotel to either sleep it off or.. get more money and come back!].

Last Call For Alcohol Girls

These are the girls that nobody wanted… not even the drunkard above. These girls were totally ignored by so very many horny foreigners and they haven't a clue why. Perhaps the fact that they're ugly as sin may have had something to do with their rejection. I don't know.. just thinking out loud. But hey, even ugly girls have feelings and they deserve to be loved also. Anybody ever heard the saying, "I've never gone to bed with an ugly woman.. but I've woken up with a few!?" LOL

Ok, so.. these not so pretty girls.. they're still hopeful so still staying out there on the streets.. hoping and praying that some drunk or sucker or reject guy will grab them and bring them back to their hotel rooms and make wild passionate love to them.

Pissed-Off & Rejected Katoeys

Now here's a group you won't find anyplace else in the world! Only in Thailand do they have the most beautiful [and sometimes.. not so beautiful] Katoeys! For those of you who don't know what a Katoey is, let me enlighten you. A Katoey is a Ladyboy, HeShe, SheMale, Tranvestite.. you get my drift now.
